News Google Pixel 10: Rumors and everything we want to see

I just can't bring myself to spend £1000 on a smartphone with a Tensor chip, just no where near a Snapdragon if they want to keep the price down maybe go to the 8/2.
Hense buying the Honor Magic 6pro

I know a lot of people talk down of the tensor chip but coming from a user that has had the P8P and P9PXL now there is no performance drop down from the Snapdragon that I also test drive and use daily. I know everyone does differently and they like to run all kinds of tests but I'd like to go by My real world experience.

I'm sure general day to day use is fine with the Tensor chip but they are charging pretty much the same price a full flagships with 8gen 3.
The same reason I stopped buying Samsung for a while because in the UK they used the cheaper exynos chip but still charged £1000+.

Cheers

I reluctantly picked up a Pixel 9 Pro and agree that some of the specs aren't worth bragging about. While everyone brags about the camera, I don't see much difference between it and my wife's iPhone 16...except that hers has a 24MP setting and mine only has 12 and 50. It also isn't the most important spec for me...hardware and performance is...not for gaming...but productivity and future-proofing. I won't say what phone I had before...it was OLD but still performed surprisingly well...but Verizon had a great offer. Admittedly, I was on the fence (and being pressured by my wife and her family) to switch to Apple...and, on paper, they have the best hardware. iOS just isn't for me. Really, the only other option was the Samsung S24+...but I prefer vanilla Android (which may use less resources). While the Tensor benchmarks well below Apple, Samsung, and One Plus, it does come with 16GB RAM which was nice. I do wish it also came with UFS 4 storage though. Aside from spec complaints...though daily use is nice and smooth...my main complaint seems to be an Android one rather than Pixel. Google needs to improve Wi-fi roaming aggressiveness in mesh Wi-fi systems. My old Android phone and new 9Pro refuse to switch AP/nodes...so I lose high strength connection...I have to manually toggle Wi-fi off and back on to restore the best connection. iPhone does it seamlessly. I read the same complaints with Samsung so I think it is an Android shortfall. Aside from that...my Pixel 9Pro is great...just not perfect...and it could be without much increased cost.

The 10 series MUST... absolutely MUST have the very best modem money can buy - period full stop! Without a good cell connection the whole thing is WORTHLESS!!!
Please DO NOT put the fingerprint sensor in the power button. That is quite possibly the worst place of them all. If it's time to stop with the under display tech fine... put it on the BACK where it works the best for most people!!!!!

I kinda like the fingerprint scanner on the home button well on my Fold 6 as it's to the side

I am so sick of phones with the flat sides and sharp edges. I will gladly switch back to a Google phone if they offer them with the rounded sides again.

I've got the 8 Pro. My wife has the 9 Pro XL. Holding her phone, I *think* I could get used to it but it would take quite some time. I'm considering keeping my 8 Pro this year but I'll probably cave and upgrade.
