Google Pixel 2 Unable to play music through Ford Audio

Hey there. Just recently purchased a Ford Mondeo 2014 and I'm trying to get the hang of the bluetooth system properly. This model doesn't come with Google Sync so none of that advice from online helps in my scenario. I can locate the car's bluetooth audio as Ford Audio, and I can send or recieve calls through it, but my phone's bluetooth menu is coming up with an error that says "Problem connecting. Turn device off and back on." and I can't play any of my music through the system either. I've reset both my phone and the car's audio system several times, cleared out all of the previous bluetooth connections, but nothing seems to be working yet. Any advice would be great.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this the factory-installed head unit, or an aftermarket? It may be that the system only supports Bluetooth phone calls, but not streaming audio.
