This boils down to your preferences. In the past, I have always bought flagships. But I don't game on phones. So the battery drain associated with that wasn't a priority to me.
A good camera is. Decent (non-gaming) battery life is. And having bank grade face unlock on an Android phone, huge bonus points for me.

Love the Pixel! Both 8 and 9. But 9 more :)

Yup. The language used by the blogger is clearer biased in favor of Pixel.

I can't wait to read about all the Pixel [hardware] issues within the next few months. :p

No. It boils down reliability. The Pixel speakers are a major let down which is a testament to how cheap the phone is. I had the 7 and it went back. It was all but cheap garbage and the 8 wasn't any better.

Sadly confirmation and survivor bias are the norm these days especially within the Pixel echo chamber

Based solely on the info from this article, I don't see why anyone would pay $100+ more for a mid-range processor. The Pixel isn't bad, but Google saves a ton of cash on the cheaper processor and it's not reflected in the value of the device. The higher resolution specialty camera doesn't mean better quality, as everyone knows MP alone doesn't reveal image quality. The only ones who will be eager to pay this premium are the ones who want the software.

I'm a bit confused. The review cites the sharp corners on the Samsung S24+ but it has rounded corners. The S24 Ultra has sharp corners. Is this review actually comparing against the Ultra model?

Good catch, the picture of the device does look to be the S24+ model not the S24U in the article.

So the S24 has faster charger but it's still listed as a con? Lmao what a lazy article, might want to consider a career change, bud. Seen AI scrappers build better articles than this.
