Some T-Mobile stores will soon have Google Pixel display units, but won't be selling them

According to sources familiar with T-Mobile's plans, the company will announce either today or tomorrow that the Google Pixel will be displayed in some T-Mobile retail locations. The device will not be sold at T-Mobile retail locations (or T-Mobile's website). Instead, store employees will direct customers to the Google Store (and help them with the process) or Best Buy to complete their transaction. The "carrot" for T-Mobile here is obviously that it hopes to gain subscribers, and sales reps will be pushing the provider's current Pixel promotion as part of the pitch to customers. It is unclear if T-Mobile eventually plans to sell the phone directly.

This is so cool, I hope soon they'll clear out their legal stuff and sell it at T-Mobile.

What legal stuff?

I meant to say the exclusivity legal binding between Google with Verizon in which they have Verizon as their primary exclusive carrier to sell the pixel. How are they going go pass that without upsetting Verizon. They have launch the Pixel on all four major carriers

Store employees help people direct to Google store and buy them? Good luck with that. They are clueless about the own devices they sell, they will just confuse the customer more.

That was Google's deal w/ Verizon to get it to the store front. T-Mobile is just trying to combat Verizon at every turn. I think this move is kind of dumb especially since most customers will be confused on why they can't buy it there.

Yes this is the same thing that happened between AT&T and the original iPhone released by Apple.
