Well, just wanted to share my thoughts and opinions with everyone here regarding the Google fabric case. I'm very passionate and anal about which type of case I have in my Pixel 5. I've been through the minimal plastic case, and my wife bought me a clear silicone rubber case. At first I ain't kind of like the minimal case and it is very minimal. It doesn't really offer any screen protection with a lip on the case. But I knew that going into it. The problem is that since it's made of plastic you're not rubber or flexible material, the case starts to expand and wasn't so tight and form fitting around my phone anymore. I went back to the case my wife bought me but it's really thick in the hands. I basically wanted a different type of a case and settled on some kind of a fabric case. Search and scattered Amazon for cheap fabric cases. The problem is as anything else in life, you get what you pay for. The $10 fabric cases have horrible reviews where people say that the fabric peels and gets nasty within a few weeks or so of buying the case. I finally settled on the Google fabric case. All the reviews are very very good for the case. I had device dollars from Verizon that I was planning to use to buy the case. However, due to a system glitch, Verizon to charge me for the case and credited me back money on my bill. So yeah I got a free case. So far I've had the case for about 2 days and I love it so far! It's grippy without being too rough. The kids actually makes the phone a little bit easier to hold because you can grip and hold it easier. It's not too thick and it provides just enough protection around the screen that I need. Just wanted to share this with everyone.

Nice! I have the same one for the Pixel 3a XL. Looks great, and doesn't add much bulk at all. I love the yellow highlight of the Power button. However, I actually find that the fabric is actually a bit slippery -- certainly not as bad as a glass or aluminum body, but not quite a grippy as a textured TPU case.

Also, be careful about setting it down on any surface that might have some grease or oil -- that can stain the fabric relatively easily!

Hey thanks there dude! Yeah, it says on the box and on Reddit sub forums and there's a YouTuber that is said the same thing that I can be machine washed and cool gentle water cycle. Or hand washed. My wife and my dad were like if you choose to do that hand wash it lol. I find the case just enough grippy and just enough protection with having to overly thicken overly done. I think it looks freaking awesome! I love the power button and the g level on the back. So far I'm extremely happy with it of course! Feels great in the hands holding the phone and I can get to everything on the phone very very easily! It's my first time with the Google fabric case as you can tell!

I really admit that I'm a little bit more OCD / anal about what I lay my phone down on, but I'm usually very careful and safe with it regardless. If it does get greasy you're oily I will have to think about gently washing in the future like a lot of others have done but so far so good. It's only been 3 days though.

LOL, I didn't even think about throwing it in the washing machine! I'll have to remember to take it off the phone first.:p

Oh, absolutely! Hehehe That's what the reviews have said. Machine code gentle washable, warm hand wash. I wonder how quick until it starts looking dirty. Been about 3 days from me or so. I love it. Love the feeling of my hands. Provide enough grip without having too thick etc etc

Thank you so much for your review! That fabric case looks beautiful! Please let us know how it has held up over time - I've been thinking off and on about getting a fabric case from the Google Store for a while now, but am always afraid of the case fraying or becoming too dirty.

Hey there! I've had my Google fabric in my pics on fire for about a month and a half at least. It's holding up just fine! The lower sides were your hand hold your phone naturally get a little dirty and you can tell slightly but it's not horrible at all. I have an attempted to try to clean it honestly, but it's not even all that dirty the way I use my phone. Quality is great. Can't complain about it at all! Also, on a side note, feels good in the hands, attracts attention from others and people ask me about it lol. Also, the fabric texture gives enough grip in your hands that you don't drop your phone really.

Verizon occasionally has them for sale and they're marked down to $19.99. I got the Confetti Blue from them.

I've used the black Google Fabric Case for Pixel 3 and now Pixel 5. Works well so far.

Yeah, my confetti blue fabric case I'm at pixel 5 works fine. No problems here. Barely looks dirty on my daily usage. Like I said, feels great in the hands, looks good, get a few compliments here and there. Google did a good job on it.

Wow! Thank you so much for your thorough review! It sounds awesome! I love that it's firm to hold in the hand, as I'm one to drop or almost drop my phones at times. Thank you for letting me know!

Hey yeah absolutely. I will say that the fabric Google case doesn't provide a lip on the front if your phone face plans. That's the one thing I have noticed.. I wasn't looking too too much for that. There's no lip on the front of the phone unfortunately.. but the Case itself is very adorable and very grippy and looks good. I hope this helps.

That's strange -- the Google fabric case for the Pixel 3a XL has a lip (although it doesn't go all the way around the phone -- there are gaps at the top and bottom).

Yeah it's a bit odd. The case obviously doesn't close around the bottom part of the phone. But yeah on the Pixel 5, the fabric case doesn't provide much of a front lip protection at all.

That definitely helps! Thank you for letting me know about how the case covers the phone!

I collect cases with each new phone I get - it's an interesting habit! Haha.

It's all good lol. We've all got interesting habits. I love to upgrade my phones very frequently. My wife doesn't quite understand that one. Early next year I want to upgrade to an iPhone 13 pro Max. My pixel 5 is a little over a year old. That's what I'm talking about hahaha

That's cool that you switch platforms like that! Have you used an iPhone before? Let us know how the experience is, going from a Pixel phone to an iPhone!
