AC Question

Is there a reason why my Google Pixel phone freezes for no apparent reason? When it freezes, you can't do anything to it for like almost two minutes. Suggestions????

Sounds like you need to update your software.
Could be a hardware bug. Would try software update first.

Same problem here. My software is up to date, and it's not happening in one particular app. Once or twice it has happened in the phone app.

I contacted Google about my pixel freezing. They recommended putting the phone in safe mode and keeping it in safe mode for up to 24 hours to see if it still freezes. If it freezes then it is not being caused by a 3rd party app. The issue with this troubleshooting method is that when my phone is in safe mode, I won't be using it because the apps I regularly use are disabled.

With my phone in safe mode it kept experiencing the freezing which Google support says it means it is a hardware issue and not caused by a third-party app. I'm currently awaiting a replacement phone and hope to not have this issue again.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Unfortunately i bought the phone in USA, but I live in Brazil, so it is difficult to return it from here.

Mine rebooted on it own today...for no reason. No updates no thing.....

Mine freezes once in awhile. Usually last for 3-5 secs, then again sometimes I have to hit the home button to go back.

Mine froze once last friday for over 15 minutes it scared me, it just froze on my most recent screen

Mine has frozen to twice since the latest update. It did it in safe mode also. Got a replacement and it is doing the same. I had no issues when I first purchased the phone last year. Started having the freezing issue after the January update. Having issues since. I love the way this phone performs other then the freezing. I will be going back to the Note series later this year.

Mine has been doing it lately...I got rid of Nova and some other apps that I don't use. Now it seems fine.

Has happened to me about 3-4 times in May so I originally thought it was something with the May update, but I don't know anymore. Before that, it happened once. Getting worried about where this could be headed.

This has happened to me a few times too and I'm yet to get to the bottom of it. I haven't installed anything unusual (I actually don't have a whole lot of apps anyway) so I'm fairly sure this is Google's issue. It's not happened frequently enough for me to really look into it but resetting the phone is getting frustrating.
