Google Play and iTunes sync with no GPM subscription

I had a 90 days free of GPM when I got my G4 in the summer. I used the GPM desktop manager to upload all my itunes songs and playlists.

My subscription has now expired and I'm just on the free model. I created a new holiday playlist in iTunes and I can see it in the desktop app and when I log in to GPM on the web. The playlist is there.

However, I can't get the playlist to show up on my G4. I've tried going into the settings and refreshing but that didn't seem to work.

Does the free GPM tier not allow synching down to your phone from your online library?

Seems kind of goofy that you can upload in to GPM for free but can't get them down to you phone.

Thanks

Open the Play Music app, swipe in from the left, tap My Library, and go to the Playlists tab. You don't see it if you scroll down to the All Playlists section?

No. Just the 6 I uploaded when I had the subscription

Ok, and just to make sure I understand completely--when you're on your Google Play Music library website on your computer, the playlist is there as well?

Correct. On GPM on the Web the play list is there. It's not on my phone.

Very odd. Go to Settiing>Accounts-Google>[your account]. Is Google Play Music checked on? And sorry for the basic question, but you're sure you're using the same Google account on both platforms, right?

When I tested the playlist sync function, I had actually created the test playlist from within Google Play Music in the browser (not in iTunes), which successfully (and immediately) synced with the phone. But I can't say for sure if there's a problem when importing a playlist from iTunes. I'll see if I can try that myself.

I unchecked GPM in accounts and rechecked it. It synced successfully.
I haven't tried to create the play list I. GPM on the Web. Maybe I'll try that. I'll check to see if the songs are uploaded correctly.

Figured it out. ID10T problem

I had the "Downloaded only" toggle on. Once I untoggled it, the play list showed up and I could download it

Thanks for your help!
