Google Play doesn't have popular apps?

When searching for popular titles like Plants vs Zombies, NOVA, and Order and Chaos nothing shows up on the app store installed on the phone. But if I open a browser and search for them they appear. Why can't I find normal apps on the app store.

They are there I just saw a banner add for NOVA and I played and beat P v Z some times there are bugs with new phones that can keep them from showing up right away but I have not had that happen yet to me. Worst case go to it on the computer and select install then pick the htc one x and it will go right to your phone.

Some apps are not compatible with some phones, example Tegra games will play on international HOX but not ATT model.

Define NORMAL apps?

And when you open up a browser, and find something, don't you DARE install from those places unless you know exactly what you are doing. Getting apps from other than Google or Amazon is the fastest way to get your phone owned by some Chinese hackers.
