Google Play I want the shipping amount back.

If Amazon holds a preorder for a movie or game and tells you that it will be at your door the day it is released, then you can expect to have it THAT DAY. Google did nothing of the sort. You preorded and they said it would ship in 2-3 weeks. Well guess what... they are shipping within 2-3 weeks.

If people can't understand this concept, I give up. You people are insane.

Here's my problem. I did agree to it shipping in 2-3 weeks from my order date and I'm going to be man enough to get over my initial pissyness in regards to people walking into b&m stores to buy them. My problem is that as of right now, I've yet to be charged for my order, had a tracking email sent to me, etc. when I placed my order on the 28th. Given that it seems Google Play is taking 2 days to process before shipping (basing this off several other posts in various threads by people who have ordered and received their devices) today is their do or die date to meet their obligation stated when I placed my order.

I thought...a pre-order was not to ensure that you get it first...but to ensure that you get it. I called a bunch of stores in my area(Philly) yesterday and couldn't find one for the life of me.

I've been through the same thing with video games, sneakers and basically any hot product. So a couple people may have gotten it earlier than you, but that was by chance...And you still have the $25 store credit and free movie. So its nothing to be really too riled up over I think. But then again I understand...its your money and you need it now. (See what I did there?) Lol.

This was the soft launch. No doubt about it. And the retail launch won't be for weeks, now that they've screwed up pretty badly.

They can always count on shills like some here to defend them no matter how badly they screw up.

Call them and they'll tell you so. I did. It's a fact, it's that simple.

I challenge you to name a SINGLE company who didn't ship out ANY of their pre-orders until three days after launch day, when the item was in stock on the shelf. Anybody? That's what I thought.

Preorder COD to be shipped and it arrives on launch day. Order it online as a DL and you usually can DL it early, but it will not install until the midnight release.

At this point, with how much they are screwing over pre-orders, I think they should be refunding shipping to some customers.

In Canada shipping charges were higher and they are looking at 1-2 weeks of additional delays.

This while lots of B&M stores are commencing open sales of the N7.

I wasn't sure if this is worth starting a new thread on, but after I received my shipping info for my nexus 7 16gb (back on the 19th), I found that it was UPS standard (I'm in Canada), and that the shipping time would be 5 business days.

Immediately I sent a message through the customer service page that I was pretty dissatisfied with how they advertised 2 day shipping and sent it on 5 days instead...I also pointed out how I could've gotten one from a local store sooner and without shipping charges.

Quite honestly, I thought it was just a way for me to vent to what seemed to be a wall that wouldn't reply back, but just today, I received an email from customer service telling me that they will process my refund, and less than a minute later, I got the google play email informing me that they refunded 19.99 to my credit card.

Just curious if anyone else got lucky?
