google play keeps randomly opening

I need help.. I texting a friend of mine and google play randomly opens up for me to download an app how do I stop this it did it twice. Someone told me it was malware

Does this only happen while texting, or does it happen other times as well? Are you using the stock Messaging app, or a 3rd party app?

In general, that behavior is due to adware that was installed alongside some other app you installed. You may have to uninstall apps until the problem goes away.
