Google Play Movie downloadeds are being deleted

I have over 60 movies purchased from google play movies that I keep downloaded on my Note 9. Every 2 weeks or so I notice that the movies have been deleted from my phone. I have redownloaded them 3 times and every time they keep being deleted. I have contacted google support and samsung support and they are no help at all. I had all these movies on my Note 8 and previous samsung devices for over 4 years now with no problem. The only difference being on the other devices I downloaded to a sd card and with the Note 9 I'm downloading to internal storage.

Welcome to Android Central! Does the phone's Device Maintenance app have an option to automatically clear out certain temporary data on a regular basis? If so, try turning that feature off.
