Google play music app different than on computer

I just started using Google play music. I opened it and found that all of my playlists that I had made for doubleTwist were already in Google Play music (they were changing by themselves in doubleTwist, which is why I quit using it.) The possible is every single album art is wrong on 500 plus songs. I read that you can fix that but that it's easier to do it on the computer. So, I opened it up on the computer logged in with the same sign in name and password. But what's on the computer is completely different than what's on my phone. A lot of my songs aren't there at all. None of the playlists that I made that I have on my phone are on the computer. And to top it off the album art on the computer is right. I don't want to sync from the computer to my phone because that will mess up my playlists that I finally found again. So how do I get what's on my phone to be on the computer so I can fix the album art if I need to without screwing up my playlist on my phone? I'd rather change the album art then have to redo my playlist I guess. But if I have to redo the playlist then I will. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the two to sync... I only got on the computer to change album art.

The app will show all music that is in your Google Play Music library in the cloud, as well as any locally stored music files. If those locally stored music files aren't also uploaded to your library in the cloud, then they won't show up on the desktop browser version.

I'm not sure about the playlists from doubleTwist, but those playlists might also be locally stored only, especially if they're full of songs that are only saved to the phone.

To upload your music to your Google Play Music in the cloud, I believe you have to do it from a computer. So copy the music files to your computer's hard drive (via USB connection), and then use one of the following methods to upload the music:
