Not specific to the G6 (at least I don't think so), but what happened to the equalizer option in the app? I had it on my Nexus 5 and set it the way I wanted it. Never looked at it again until I switched phones and needed to reset my settings. Can't find it now.

Do you mean the customizable "User" option? That's not available on all phones -- I don't see it on my Honor 5X either. But all of the presets are there (e.g., Rock, Pop, Jazz, etc.). I don't have a G6, though, so hopefully other G6 users will weigh in.

Yeah, I don't see it on my G6... If I remember I'll check my 6p.

I'm pretty sure all Nexus and Pixel phones have the User option. My Nexus 5 and 7 have it. Have a Pixel XL instead of a 6P now, but I do remember the 6P having the User setting as well. I think my old Zenfone 2 didn't have it.

Yep, it is phone-specific. Because there is no equalizer functionality or app, there is no option.

I seem to remember that on my LGOG I eventually found an equalizer app that gmusic would recognize, but it still didn't work 100%. It was not long after that that I didn't need to think about it anymore because I had gotten a new phone.

If anyone knows a good eq app for the G6 please share. I really miss it.

Search for Equalizer in the play store. This is a great app which works well in Spotify with the G6

That one is in my google library already so I must have tried it on my LGOG.

I checked this one out and it is working well with Play Music (and makes an equalizer option show up in Play Music's settings). It does show a notification that seems unnecessary which I hid.
