Google Play Music Starts Playing Automatically when Bluetooth Sensed

Appears this is a bug in the Droid Maxx line as both my wife and my phone does the same thing. We get in the car and within a couple minutes our phones are playing music through it's speaker. What appears to be happening is if the Bluetooth is sensed by the phone it's launching the Google Play Music app. My wife's phone isn't paired to my car so it's not that it's connecting to Bluetooth. We both had a Razr Maxx HD and never had this problem, only started since we have upgraded to the Droid Maxx.

I've found what appears to be the trigger, songs must be in the queue. If I clear the queue the app won't launch. None of my other music apps experience this. Anyone found a more permanent solution, disabling the app is not a solution as I use the Google Play Music service. Is there a setting somewhere I've overlooked?

Didn't think we had set that but sure enough it was. Thanks

Could someone tell me how to modify this "assist" feature. I have a relatively new Samsung Galaxy Note II, that appears to do the same thing.
Thanks,
Gery O.

Assist is s feature that's only on the new Droids and the moto x, so your problem is related to something else. You should post on the note ii forum m they may be able to help you

It happens to me. But it opens a song in poweramp instead of Google music. There is NO way to turn it off either.
