Google play music

So I recently had to clear the data from the music app because of songs not playing. This has happened in the past and clearing the data worked fine. However when I did it this time, the app freezes. When I open the app, it will start up like normal and then just go black. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you reboot? Which phone do you have? Wiping the system cache partition might be in order.
