Google Play Promotion

I can't believe that Google will not honor their $50 Google Play promotion for those of us who Pre-ordered prior to the October 25 deadline! The site would not allow me to buy two days before the promotion ran out. I called them and they say, "Sorry, if you don't have an order ID (which was not provided for preorders!), you are out of luck." THey offered it and then couldn't fulfill the orders. It's clearly Google's responsibility to make good here!
CAN YOU SAY BAIT AND SWITCH?!

What bait and switch? If you preordered, you get it. If you couldn't get an order in you don't. Pretty much cut and dry.

I ordered on the 5th, and then google cancelled my order for no reason on the 27th. Then reordered on the 29th. When I asked them about my gift card they told me to kick rocks.

There weren't cancellations just delays they were giving out the $25 credit for.

Well I am just so surprised that a million other people aren't reporting the issue of preordering within the Promotional time frame and then not being given the opportunity to register an order until after the promotion expired. I see the "pretty cut and dry: stuff and it just seems like those comments are from Google execs. What ever happened to ethics?

Preorderd a few weeks ago. Got my phone yesterday. Actually got my Google play gift certificate some time ago. Cashed it in last night.

Being on the waitlist is not the same as preordering.

I don't understand the issue here...if you are saying because they ran out of stock and closed preorders, and therefore you couldn't get the promotion, then its in the fine print, like stated above, that the promotion is while supplies last. They had a certain amount of promotional offers to go with a cetain amount of orders. They ran out. It's not their fault they ran out of the preset amount of promotional offers and it not your fault you missed it. I don't see this as an issues with either parties.

I think it's very unlikely that Google execs are infiltrating the AC forums to spread misinformation.

I believe we are done here. The terms were stated on the site..

Since the promotion ran out they've replaced it with a Google Music one. They simply had the other running till they ran out.
