Google Play - Server Error, YouTube app dead!

[Android Central Question]

Hi! Problem/s!! Toshiba AT 100. Since the end of last year tablet is basically a paper weight!' Google altered settings I guess!!
Google play store - Server error / Retry.
YouTube app doesn't work(There was a problem with the network [410] Retry
App version - 3.5.5
Loved using this version, easy to navigate!!
Android system version 4.0.4-03.000081316 All I can do is browse the internet, cannot even watch videos from browser links! Unable to add/update app's!!
I also think the tablet needs updating......but comes back, 'no software updates available.'
Service station, application version - 1.1.16
The tablet's USB haws never worked since I brought it new......suspicious it has conflicting software/app's inside.

Android 4.0.4 is VERY old. We're talking 2011 old (hey, it's old in tech terms). That OS does not support the authentication protocols needed to connect to Google services. That device is old enough that there probably isn't even a 3rd-party ROM available to make it work. While the tablet may need updating in order to work, there is no update available. In fact - it's so old that Toshiba may not even have the update posted for it any more if there was one.

Sadly, I think you'll be looking at replacing that 7 year-old device at this point.
