Google play store nightmare.

This is probably a stupid question but is there an update for the store, if so where can i find it?

Most recent version is 7.0.17.H-all
If there is a new update your phone should have automatically grabbed it

I thought so, but for some reason my phone didn't get play services, but I found that one. If it takes a ridiculous amount of time to download anything, does it need the update?

Assuming you got the phone in the US and it came with the Google Play Store preinstalled, then the phone should also have Google Play Services preinstalled. Go to Settings>Apps to find it. You might have to tap the Menu button in that screen, and then tap Show System, to see it.
