Google Play Store problem: "My Apps" missing in menu

Used to be that when I went to the Google Play Store and pressed the "menu" key on the lower left of my phone, a menu would come up that included "My Apps". Selecting this menu item allowed me to see the state of all of my apps, and listed those that could be updated.

Anyone know how to restore "My Apps" to that menu? Don't know how that menu entry was lost, or what to do to restore it. Any ideas?

Thanks.

With the recent Play Store update, you now swipe in from the left to see that menu. You can also just tap the 3 horizontal line icon at the upper left corner.

Thanks very much...for a major user interface change like that, I really wish that Google would make some effort to mention or indicate the changes in some way. They could call me up, send me a text message or email. I'm sort of joking, but I wasted some time looking for where that went and assuming that I'd done something to cause it to be gone from the menu. Or memory corruption or something. I even went back to a nandroid backup, and ended up in the same place, frustratingly enough.

Certainly fits in with general Google behavior, though. Just change the user interface and let users figure it out, and like it or lump it. Doesn't help to endear me to Google, just another indication to me of their general uncaring attitude towards users that aren't paying them at the moment.

News sites like Android Central are good sources for information like this. When this latest Play Store version was released, there was an article discussing the changes.

I have a Huawei X3 with Android 2.3.3
I had a google play icon and have downloaded from Google Play.
Today I tried to download, via my PC, and it shows installed but there is nothing on the phone.
I note that there is no Google Play icon on the phone. Is this the problem?

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not entirely clear on what you're asking. So you had a Google Play Store icon before, and you've successfully downloaded and installed apps from there, correct?

Now, when you say you tried to download via your PC, are you saying you went to the Google Play Store website on your PC browser, and selected an app to install to your phone? When you do that, there can be a little lag time before the phone initiates the download and installation.

When you say there is no Google Play icon on the phone, do you mean that it isn't on any of the homescreens? Have you checked the full app list? The Play Store should be there. You can't uninstall the Play Store from an unrooted Android phone.

Hello, you have accurately restated the question from mitsilad in my estimation. The very thing has happened to me. I cannot find the icon anywhere on my Galaxy s4! Was having trouble with the Play Store app (error message popped up stating that I need to "enable the background data" or something close to that. I clicked on "enable" and the screen came on indicating that I should sink one of my email accounts, GMail, Yahoo, etc. Once I sinked my GMail account, I went back to the store icon and could get no action. I opened the Google Store on my laptop, choose Whatsapp and the site confirmed that Whatsapp would be installed shortly. I cannot find it on the phone and web site confirms that it was downloaded. That was yesterday. Today I found the GS icon in my app management and clicked on the button that asked If I wanted to remove all the updates and take the icon back to its original and I did so. Have rebooted my phone a few times and still cant find it.
