Google Play system update

Just got the update. Went from Jan 24 to April 2024.
Saw it on X/twitter but can't find it now to give them proper credit

Same for me. I always have to manually check now. I can't remember the last time it actually automatically updated.

There was an update last week too. You may need to do two restarts.

Wow, didn't know. Learn something new everyday.

I've used Galaxy S phones since 2009 and never manually checked for updates except under Settings>Software Update>Download and Install

This goggle play system update only been a few years probably since Android 10

Yeah, it has always been a manual update; at least for Samsung devices. Also, not all updates are security updates. I checked last week, and there was an update that didn't update the security patch level. That's why I said that you may have to do two restarts.

Google is kinda opaque about what the updates include. I haven't seen a change log.
