Has anyone received the new Google Play (4.x) on their N7? I had it pushed to my Galaxy Nexus, but still nothing on my N7.

No, you'll still get automatic updates of the Play Store.

that apk is signed by google so future automatic update wont be a problem

Yeah, I usually become aware of Play Store updates from posts in AC as well as other Android sites.

WHY??????? It's the same. I updated all three of my devices manually. But, it's your choice.

Users have reported that a certain section doesn't function properly after downloading the update manually. I believe it's the "Categories" section.

Off topic for the device.... I just noticed the change on my S3 and I have to ask... What is it with web developers who feel that micro-thin fonts of light color on light colored backgrounds or low contrast color combinations are "quality?" I have seen a few app updates recently that are nearly impossible to read under certain light conditions. One of them is American Airlines new app. I just don't get it. I am not that old and I am not that blind.

DITTO. This should also answer the question about the updates for manually updated versions. You still get them.
