Google Replacement

Have seen and her stuff about Google replacing the Nexus under a 1 time warranty... We'll cracked my screen today so I decided to contact Google. Called up and the guy said he had no idea what I was talking about. I was then pushed to Motorola. I explained my situation and the fact that a I've have had the Original Moto X the then New Moto X and now the Nexus along with my Moto 360 watch and the guy
told me the same thing... Never herd of it and told me it would be $175 plus a $500 security hold.
Has anyone have any luck with getting a replacement or anything else?

They aren't going to replace the screen under warranty. The warranty is only for manufacturer's defects.

To me it sounds like that isn't an official policy and it's just luck if they'll actually replace it for free due to a cracked screen as the warranty does not cover that
