The Google Search Bar has appeared at the bottom of my phone. How do I remove it?

That Google bar has been on my Pixel 4 since day 1. I wish Google gave us the option to remove it, but from what I have read they don't provide the remove option within the stock launcher.

No. Nothing changed that I know of, mustang7757.

If you use a launcher Ike Nova you can delete that but stock launcher you can't.

I've actually grown used to just tapping the Assistant button in the bottom right corner for launching Assistant. In my house with many Google smart speakers sometimes I want my phone to get the voice command instead of a speaker and tapping that Assistant icon in the Google bar works well for that.

I have the same problem. I have voice activation turned off on my phones as I have Google home hubs or minis everywhere.

I miss squeeze for assistant and tap tap is very unreliable. I am using 4a (5G)
