Hey guys,

When I go to Google.com via the internet, I believe google is trying to access my GPS location because I see the satelite icon turn on. Well, problem I have is that when I use it indoors, it will crash my web browser and then require a restart of the phone.

Is there a way that I can turn this off so I can use google with "Location-Based" results?

If you turn GPS off manually, it can't use it. It might ask you to turn it on, but you don't have to.

Just use a widget to toggle it on and off.

You should wipe your phone and fix the GPS issue. There is no reason for the GPS to be crashing your phone. If that doesn't fix it, then take it to the Sprint store.

Yeah something is not right with that I use Google as my homepage and it never crashes my phone, not even when I'm at home with hardly any signal?

Not to be rude, but this advice is the most extreme action that needs to be taken!

You can manually disable the GPS to disallow Google from using location-based search. AFAIK you can even change preferences to turn of this "feature" as well. You simply navigate to Google from your device, click "Settings" near the bottom of the page and then scroll to the bottom of the settings page. Finally, select "No" under "Allow use of device location?" ;)

Hopefully that helps!
