google services eating up my battery how do I stop this?

Google services is taking 30 percent of my battery

So? What kind of battery life are you getting in total? On my tablet, the screen takes up 90% of my battery use, but that doesn't mean anything bad. The screen usually chews up the highest percentage of battery, but if you hardly ever turn the screen on but have things syncing, it would make sense that Google services is using a larger percentage.
Try not to worry about the percentages too much unless you are having some serious battery life issues.

The common suggestion is to uninstall and then reinstall Google Play Services updates.
