Google services error--lost all my contacts

Hi everyone,

I was using google maps today for the first time and a few minutes after I was done I kept getting a google services framework error and it only gives me the option to force close. Now I have lost all my contacts in my address book. It says google servies framework (process.com.google.procress.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Please tell me there is a way to retrieve my contacts. I am not rooted, this Evo is only 2 weeks old although I do have lookout and smrtguard installed.

google didn't lose your contacts. use a computer and they will still be there. don't know what happened to your app though.

fixed it. When in accounts and sync, everything was syncing but contacts. It kept giving me the same error. So I just restored only contacts from smrtguard and everyone came back. Thanks anyway!
