Google services stopped, apps disappeared

Recently, apps would not update if installed on the SD card or would disappear and the app store would crash if I try to install again (solved the problem by uninstalling from the app store and re-installing). I wonder if my SD card is going bad... Never had any issues with this tablet before. I'm on stock os with latest update.

Yes, really seems like SD card problem. Try using h2testw to check if your SD card is genuine or fake with wrong size programmed.
