Google services wont update

I have a Galaxy S4. Just started happening today. ALL of my apps say I must update google play services to use the app. I tried to get google play services to update but it seems 16mb has been taking approx 7hrs so far and still going. Is this real or dd I get a virus on my phone?

It is probably stuck. Are you trying to use your cell data or wifi?

I have rebooted the phone. but when I try to access any app the update message comes back and then the update starts again automatically. The mesage says "This app won't run unles you update Google Play Services."

I have Tried Cell Data and wifi. Even generic apps- like calculator or clock. wont open

Try resetting app preferences. Go to settings>apps>menu>reset app preferences. Sometimes this helps with Play issues.
