Hi,

Whenever I'm on wifi it seems that when my phone goes into standby I assume the wifi shuts down signing me out of google talk. This is extremely annoying. I don't get messages on time and I have to keep signing back in. Is there any way to fix this? My wifi sleep policy is set to never.

Thanks

I have one installed in case i ever need it in cinch, but i don't use it and there's no auto-kill.

I don't use google talk, so does it automatically sign you out when it disconnects with wifi?

If so do you have juice defender? That will cause wifi to turn off if your settings are set like that - exactly like the data

When i'm at home i'm on WiFi, and i guess the phone goes into standby or sleep and disconnects from WiFi (just a guess), because i'll click Talk and it says "Signing in".

Trying to find out why it disconnected in the first place.

Is there an "auto-sign in" option for Google Talk? If so, is it checked?

try setting your wifi policy to never sleep in the advanced setting menu.

this should solve your problem.

Sorry we couldn't be of more help. If nobody else has any suggestions your best bet would be to go straight to the source - Google Support Forum. There may even already be a thread about it.
