Google talk problems

For the past few days Google talk stopped working all of a sudden. I would go into the app and it would close right away. Is any one else having this problem? I have fast boot on, could this be the problem?

I have had so many problems with keeping conected with my contacts. They hardly ever show available even when they are signed in. Have had to delete and the re add several of them many times to get connected again.

i have had 2 problems.

first problem==group chat ALWAYS force closes the app. not certain if it can't handle more than 3 people in a group chat, but as soon as i begin typing to the contacts--it Force Closes. i reopen the app, attempt to close the group chat, it Force closes again. it's very aggrevating.
solution? menu>close all chats. Sign out of Talk, sign back in.

second problem=my contacts indicator light status never changes. everyone is always the same status for days.
solution? menu>close all chats. this has worked & instantly checks each user's availability (green, orange, grey).

Talk is a very finnicky problem at this point.

@bstmstrxellos, I had this problem for 10min last week. I cleared gtalks data in the app manager and did a hard reboot (power off wait, power on). Been working fine ever since.

I've been having this same problem today... will try clearing the app data and a hard reset. Thanks for the suggestion.
