Hi Guys, Google has announced that it is going to shut down the service Android App Inventor by the end of the year.

Actually they are shutting Down Google Labs, alot of cool stuff in there.

Yeah, really disagree with the decision. Will it hurt them to just keep Google labs in use?

I'm wondering what happens to those apps that are part of Google Labs (i.e. Listen). I'm assuming that they'll just come out of beta....

They won't keep it open if they can't support it, and they have a zillion other projects. Have to imagine they are spread pretty thin.

App inventor had great promise, but was still a pain in the butt to use, I hope someone can take the open source code and make it 10X better.
