Google Voice app number on fav 5 list?

Anyone running the google voice app and put their Google voice number on their fav 5 list so they can make unlimited calls using that number rather than their regular number? i'm wondering if this will work? I know you can just call your google voice number and make calls that way but i'm wondering if the google voice app will do it for you and still keep the call free.

It depends how you do it at least on Verizon. The app itself doesn't dial your GV number. The number it uses to dial out is different from Google Voice. If you actually dial your GV number and then enter the number there, it'll work otherwise, you'll need to add the other number to your F&F. Also, you'll need to turn off caller ID in the google voice settings in order to get free incoming to your google voice number.
