Google Voice Backup

I use My Backup Pro to backup my sms messages. Now that I'm using Google Voice in hangouts I have noticed it doesn't backup those messages. I'm assuming they are saved in a different database. Does anyone know of a way to backup messages from Google Voice?

Do you know how I would restore messages if they were deleted? Like, after a factory reset.

GV messages are backed up on google voice, you can always see them in the Google voice web ui. I assume it would restore them to a new device as well for local viewing but I'm not certain.

It most certainly does restore your messages to any device you activate. I have messages on GV that are years old that always follow me from device to device whenever I activate a new one. No need to worry about losing them unless you manually delete them yourself from the database.
