Google Voice question

I changed the settings on the google voice app to send me notifications in the htc/default messaging app and turned it off in the notifications to the actual google voice app (so it acts like regular text messages) anyway, when I send a google voice message through my computer, the message I sent does not show up in the messaging app (it just shows messages from the sender, works fine if I send it through my phone though), is there anyway to make this possible? (I looked through numerous settings and could not find it)
