I use Google Voice and Android Auto and recently noticed some issues with outbound SMS.
If I use my voice to send a text in Android Auto, it will send using my carrier number - even though in Hangouts (my default SMS app), it is set to only ever send SMS via my Google Voice number.
Are others seeing this behavior? Any known workarounds? Aside from this GV and AA seem to play nice. There is the odd dial/hangup/dial behavior when making an outbound call, but aside from looking funny for a sec there is no real negative impact.
