google voice voicemail integration

Currently a pre owner but considering the EVO when it comes out. Anyway, never used Android. I have my vm for my Sprint number setup to use my GV voicemail. Was just wondering how the GV voicemail integration is on android? Is there a specific notification for new messages?

Using my pre, I have my GV setup to txt me when I have a voicemail, figured with android it would be more integrated for notifications.

Yup. Notifications in the notification bar like any other notification. Dragging the bar down and clicking on the notification takes you to GV where you can read transcribed VM's, listen to VM's, etc.

You can still have SMS or email notifications if you want but I haven't seen the need with the latest version of the GV app.

Along with the notifications in the notification bar, I assume it has audible notifications? Customizable?
