Handing your phone to a cop so he can view your driver's license is very bad idea. Very, very bad. Once you voluntarily hand over your phone to a LEO, they can legally look at anything on the phone. Your contacts, your texts, your emails, porn, ANYTHING. Don't ever use your phone as a replacement for a physical drivers license.
