Google wallet on the t989

I been wanting to try the google wallet for some time now. but the only store i go to that has the pay pass card reader is always packed and never had the chance to test it out because i didn't want to hold up the line in case it didn't work. but tonight i went to the same store and it was empty so i decide to finely try it. i put my phone up to the reader and nothing. flip it around and still nothing. so i went ahead and paid with a card and went to my car. i decided to look on my settings and make sure the nfc was on, and it was.

so my question is dose the GW work with the T989 if so what settings need to be set. did it matter i left my phone case on, it's really not the fat. before i did all this i looked up to see if the GW did work for tmobile. i saw some places said yes and other's said no because tmobile supports another Like app

Unfortunately, it won't work because the t989 doesn't have a secure element on its NFC chip and GW requires a secure element for tap-and-pay.
