Google wallet on used galaxy nexus

I just bought a galaxy nexus off eBay do I still get the free $10, also since this Device is used I wiped everything and set it up from scratch I'm a little wary of loading money on to my Google payment card, its not still linked to the original owner of the phone right??

I don't know if you'll get the $10, but it shouldn't be linked to the original user at all if you did a complete wipe

You should get the 10 dollars, i think it has to do with a brand new account not the phone.

i would assume it would be linked to phone or else id make 100,000 new accounts and live like a king


but then again it may be linked to sim card somehow but based off some things ive seen makes me believe its linked to phone

No, you will not get the $10. I bought a GN through craigslist and did a complete wipe. But I never got the $10 in the Google Wallet. The prepaid card showed $0 balance.
