I know the only credit card supported is the Citi Mastercard but you can open a prepaid card andadd funds from any credit card. im assumig everyone have used paypal at least once so you guys know you dont need money in your paypal account. if you buy something it just transfers funds from your linked bank account. is the google card like that or do i need to actually have the money on it like and actual prepaid card?

As near as I can tell, you do need to top-up before you make the purchase but I haven't tested this out. However, you can top-up in the store and (if your card info is saved) it only takes a minute - no longer than if you needed to pay in cash.

From using the wallet app it looks like you have to top off using a card first (which it will save if you want it to). It is like an actual prepaid credit card.

Plus you get $10 free for setting it up. Drinks on Google!

Just wanted to say, I have a citibank Mastercard that doesn't have the easy pay feature. Meaning when I tried to put it in, it's no worky.

I guess everyone without NFC could just put their credit card inside their phone (or tape it on the outside) and pretend :)

oh ok, thank you guys. i just tried it and you have to put in atleast $20 : ( i wish it was just like "Oh, i have a coke and some chips, transfer $5 over." to me thats keeps it easier, oh well. still very cool
