Google Wants Developers To Build Better Tablet Apps, Publishes A ?Tablet App Quality Checklist?

Google?s Nexus 7 tablet has been quite a hit, but there can be little doubt that the average quality of Android tablet apps still ranks behind iOS. Google is clearly aware of this and today, the company is making a new push to get developers to ensure that their apps run well on tablets. To do this, Google just launched a Tablet App Quality Checklist that walks developers through the process of getting their apps tablet-ready.

Well i think they know how to make UI optimized to tablet, the problem is cost of extra UI work and it needs to pay back, other reasons i strachy UI in Android which makes developer lazy as there apps are already usable with that extra space on screen (orcorse that not a bad thing, strachy UI is advantage over iOS), where in iOS you are not able to use extra screen space without making it to do.

I think best way to encourage developer to optimize there app to tablets is larger tablet download starts and bigger tablet userbase

Thru this glide might be encouraging for one man army/smaller developers which might have problem to figure how to make app good on tablet.
