Hi just wondered if anyone has the 3aXL in the official Fabric case?

If so, what's the protection like on it?

Photos would be cool too :)

Thanks

Not a fan of the fabric case. I opted for the tech 21 studio design for my 3a.

Ordered the fabric case today from Best buy, had a Best buy gift certificate to use and they don't have any other case options other than fabric case. Ordered online so going to take few days to receive.

The fabric cases ARE very nice looking, however, they do not protect at all from a fall, which I would think was the reason for using a case.

That's disappointing to hear about the drop protection... But I will say that I had my 3 XL in a fabric case for a while and it was very effective for protecting the phone against nicks and scratches from pockets, tables, surfaces, etc. It also added a nice texture for grip. It does get a bit of grime every month or so, but a little soap and water cleans it right up.

I bought it and returned it. it is very nice looking, but I kind of like my 3a XL naked and I didn't think the fabric case would provide much protection

I started liking the cloth case for my pixel 2 xl, but after a while, it got pretty grimy looking and feeling. I tried cleaning it like the instructions said with mild soap and water. It got cleaner, but the feeling was never the same for me.

All the reviews I've read suggest the 3a case has no top/bottom prote6like the non-a cases. They went cheap on it.

When I was looking at the Google cases, and not just the fabric ones, I noticed the majority of them for all the pixels had open tops and bottoms. Not nearly enough protection imo, so I bought some other brands of cases. Spigen makes some extremely nice, superb fitting and looking cases with amazing button feel and great drop protection, without bulking the phone up or breaking the bank. You can get them for a quarter to a third the price of a Google case..... Google cases are way over priced for what you get.

Using it since didn't have much option at best buy and had a best buy certificate which I had to use. I have used the fabric case earlier as well and they are good but not my first choice. My main issue is they are slippery compared to other cases. I'm going to probably pick up a different case from Verizon or T-Mobile store. Pics below of the fabric case on the purple 3a.

Went ahead and picked up the tech 21 case from T-Mobile. Like it much better, grippy and comfortable to hold.

I ordered one after I got the $100 Google Store credit. Guess we'll see how it works.
