Google Talk won't launch and the signal indicators are not turning green. I and power cycled my n1 and can't get it to work. Thoughts?

Just to add a little more detail (from a real keyboard):

No Google Services (I think that is what the green color means in the signal indicator)

Not able to launch Google Talk--it opens and closes without even trying to log in

Reboot does not help

Have full signal and data connectivity

Also annoying, but not necessarily related, is that I have a low memory alert. I don't want to ditch anymore apps to make it go away.

Anyone else having a similar issue?

For anyone who was wondering what the resolution was . . . here you go.

During the entire time that I could not launch Google Talk, I had a low memory warning. I went through my apps and deleted a couple that I don't use too often, and used Quick App Manager to clear all caches.

That cleared the memory error and all of a sudden my status indicators turned green again. And, I could open Talk.

End of story.

It is very annoying that the N1 has such paltry memory. Now considering an upgrade.
