Does the inspire have Gorilla glass?

i've been wondering the same things myself...a quick google search told me that the Desire HD does not have gorilla glass...so probably not

Our internal specs at AT&T does not show gorilla glass as the type of glass used.

It's definitely not gorilla glass. First phone my money clip has scratched, albeit this is my bonehead move, even though I had a Speck CandyShield and the phone in a microfiber bag, I didn't have a screen protector on the phone yet...Only maybe 1 or 2mm long and barely not noticeable, but I am OCD enough I will probably try to sell this one for $300 or so and buy another, although I do have the Atrix coming tomorrow...

HTC has never confirmed that any of their phones has Gorilla Glass. That doesn't mean they don't, it's just never been confirmed.

Inspire has Monkey Glass. Its not as mean as Gorilla Glass, but it is more flexible.

Gotta buy Samsung or LG in order to have bullet proof glass on your PDA.

From the Corning website you linked:

"Due to customer agreements, we cannot identify all devices that feature Gorilla Glass."

However, they have a list of some devices which do have Gorilla Glass and include the following for HTC.

"HTC: 7 Mozart, 7 Surround T8788, ChaCha, Aria, Desire, Desire HD, Desire S, Desire Z, Dopod A6388, Dopod T8388, Dragon, Droid ERIS, Droid Incredible, EVO 4G, EVO Shift 4G, G1, G2, HD2, HD7, HD mini, Hero, Incredible S, Inspire 4G, Legend, myTouch 3G, myTouch 3G Slide, myTouch 4G, T9199, Thunder Bolt, Tianxi T9188, Salsa, Trophy, Wildfire, Wildfire S"

I'm guessing they have just recently updated their list since you didn't see it there earlier.

So, despite some of the people who have scratched their screens already, Corning is claiming the Inspire 4G does have Gorilla Glass.

Sucks but I have a small scratch on my phone. It isn't noticeable and is on the very edge but I noticed it when I was cleaning the screen to put on my screen protector. Crappy cause I take very good care of it and did not have it for long so I'm bummed that I already got a scratch.

According to the corning site, Inspire DOES have gorilla glass.

Yes it has.. post #11 proves it.

The thing is, I had the HTC Aria and the first time I dropped it the glass cracked, many experienced the same thing so its quite a fragile phone.
I was wondering if the same thing happens with the Inspire 4G? Has anyone dropped the phone already?
I know it doesn't have much to do with Gorillas-Glassh technology but I thought it was better to ask that question here than creating a new post.
