Got a glitch

Twice now I've somehow done something to my phone that will prevent it from letting me remove apps from the home screen. I will long press any app on the home screen, or any screen for that matter, and it won give me the pop up that lets me either remove the app or lets me uninstall it. Please, can someone tell how to fix it wirhout out re-setting the phone? That's what I had to do the first time and now its doing it again

Do you have developer options enabled? Have you turned off animations, or changed the duration for them?

I did enable it and I did turn off animations

I just set them back and magically my pop ups haven returned. Thank you so much

I'd like to know why that matters with the pop ups? I tried messing with them and I have to leave them the way they are. I could turn off transition animation but that was it

I'm going to turn them all back off. At least now I know how to fix it
