Got an Email About Pixel Ear Buds

I haven't gotten my email with my Google Home Mini code yet, but I did get an email telling me that the Pixel Ear Buds are in stock, with limited quantities.

I clicked it, was brought to the Google Play store, and after a couple of clicks my Pixel Buds are on the way.

But the email says that they are in stock... Yet my order confirmation says they'll ship on December 11th. Huh? OK, why is that?

I want to want to buy them but am hesitant without having any notion of how good the sound will be... Anyone know who is making them? I should probably just order and return if I don't like, but I hate taking an order away from someone who knows they want them when mine's on a big contingency...
