So the Lumia 822 unfortunately only made it a few days as I was previously spoiled by the form factor of the HTC One S. So returned it and trying out the M. A few questions:

-Adding accounts is giving me fits. I use Google for calendar and some email so syncing those things were fine. HOWEVER I use Outlook.com (live mail) as my primary email. I checked all the boxes to sync everything but it appears only the email is coming through. Will this phone sync my contacts? My One S did but it was running ICS

-Does anyone know if Nova Launcher will support the use of the quick settings screen and Google Now. Had this program on One S and liked it a lot.

Thanks for your help

I have live mail, contacts, and calendar syncing fine.

Make sure that when you set up the account you're using the "hotmail" option rather than corporate...

The hotmail option on mine has a grayed out area and appears to only sync email? Is the thr route I need to be taking. It is currently setup as corporate.

And yes nova launcher dosnt replace Google now or the quick settings. All is does is if u have a OEM skin is give your phone an aosp look.

Also, I don;t know if this matters anymore now that everyone is migrating but my live.com account is being used through outlook.com and all contacts are stored there. Tried the hotmail method, on my phone it gives no option to sync contacts or calendar. Also tried corporate again, it synced 20 of approximately 120 contacts? WTF???

Did you remove the "corporate" set up before you tried to do it under hotmail? - Just an idea?

Got the contacts and calendar to sync if I use the Outlook.com app. Really wish I could just use the stock email setup but just can;t seem to get it to work.

Is there anything on this phone that will read text messages and prompt a voice reply when hooked up to non BT headphones or aux through 9mm in car?
