Does it have GPS? If so, does it work ok?

I had the Acer and the GPS rarely got a lock onto satellites.

I can confirm (and can post pics if the doubters like) that the unit does come with 3.1 installed. I'll have to check the GPS and will do so when I get home. Personally I don't see that I'll ever have a use for the GPS on my tab, but again, that's just me. I'll definitely check it out when I get home.

Have you tried running maps over wifi and letting it sit for a bit? The newest version of Maps caches your data. I've run GPS trips using a wifi only device before, just had to start the trip via wifi and the program did the rest. I'm pretty sure it compensated for detours as well, but this was right after the new maps launched, so I can't be sure.

Google should be fixing that this summer with the updated maps.

I can confirm that the unit does not have Polaris Office installed. Can't yet verify how good the GPS is due to a heavy T-storm that's dumping rain and hail. Once I'm done being skeered of the loud boomers I'll try to get it to lock.
