Went to an AT&T store last night just to try the Urbane LTE out and ended up going home with one! Was very surprised they had some in stock!

So far very impressed with the watch. I have the new Moto 360 and absolutely love that watch. But I do think the LG is more polished.

The screen is incredible! Colors are gorgeous and very high resolution. Love the new Android Wear 6.0 subtleties, graphics are good, animations are perfectly smooth, wrist gestures are pretty cool. Probably won't use them too much, but if my hands are full, could come in handy.

It is a big watch, but not too big. It's feels and kind of looks like a diver style watch, which is large but I like that style. For smaller people, it'll probably feel too big, but it definitely works for me. I've read reviews that say its too heavy, but nice watches are heavy! Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

The LTE connection is excellent! Works perfectly as soon as the phone is out of range, using OK, Google over LTE is perfectly fast, can't even tell it isn't connected via BT. Also using the watch as a phone is great. Very easy to hear the person talking, could get louder, but I wouldn't use it a loud/public place anyway. A friend said that it sounded just as good as my phone, if not better.

My only complaint is that I don't think the band is very comfortable. It's very stiff and just not near as comfortable as my Moto. It is a real bummer that the bands aren't swappable.

Anyway, happy with the watch so far, battery life seems pretty good too. I'll update after a few more days of using the watch.

Congrats on your new purchase! Thanks for the initial impressions. I am eagerly awaiting the Verizon one. Maybe you could answer some questions for me that I have asked other owners but didn't get to much of an answer.

1. How is the vibration? I saw some people said it was weak.

2. I hate the fact that I would have to speak responses to text or email because of no keyboard. However, I have seen some android wear sms apps that have keyboard. Do they work on the watch? Is there anyway to install a keyboard?

3. Since there are no sound notifications I am wondering if the third party sms app would have an option for sounds.

I think that's it for now.

Thanks for the help!!

I'm actually really happy with the vibrations. I don't think they are any weaker than my Moto, its just quieter. It doesn't buzz at all, it just vibrates, if that makes any sense.

I have no idea about the keyboard or the sounds for SMS. I am a little disappointed that there isn't a notification sound, but at the same time its nice, keeps everything silent and less of a bother. But the option would be nice.

I have a feeling now that this watch is out and AW 6.0 is out that app developers will start working on sounds and being able to take advantage of the buttons.

Sorry I can't help more, but I haven't really explored any other apps than I run on my Moto. LG health seems cool, but you can't use it on any other phones than an LG. Oh, and the battery is OK so far. It's been a little over 12 hours and I've got about 30% left. And that's been pretty heavy use. Three shortish phone calls using the watch, a lot messing around, all of my normal notifications, plus a bit of time without my phone on LTE. Not as good as the new Moto, but not bad considering...

I appreciate the feedback. If you decide to download wear messenger or something like that from the play store in the future please let me know if it works. Just like on my phone I rarely use stock apps and am really interested in the flick keyboard provided by these sms apps.

Couple pics of the new watch. One next to my Moto, that's the 46mm version. Love the screen size of the Moto's, but the resolution and colors of the LG are amazing!

Just got mine, hadn't had it on 10 minutes when LG announced they were cancelling the roll out in it's entirety and not sure if/when they will release it. ATT already offering refunds.

I want to know WHY they are recalling it. I know that this cancellation means all support will stop, which ultimately kills the watch, but I really like it so far.

Doesn't necessarily kill the watch, since Google puts out the software. I don't know if I've ever gotten firmware from Samsung for my Gear Live, but at least a dozen from Google. I guess Google could specifically exclude the U2LTE from further updates, but maybe not...

Yeah I am REALLY bummed about this. This watch is great! I've had four different watches now, and this is my favorite so far! Not a single problem with it, love the way it looks, the screen is amazing, the GPS and LTE work perfectly. Even the battery life is pretty good.

I started with original Moto, then got the first Zenwatch, sold that and got the Gear S2, returned that because of a million different annoyances and then got the newest Moto. Just bought the Urbane because of the LTE and GPS, and I love it! Not sure what I'm going to do at this point. Probably just wait and see if LG announces anything in the next few days. I have a 14 day return policy through AT&T after all. Luckily I still have my Moto, and I love that watch.

Wonder how long I have? I don't have at&t, and they didn't take any contact info on me when I bought it, except my credit card. What would they do if I didn't find out about this "recall" till Christmas, and brought it back then...

The other interesting thing is Google, and the fact that we got a new version of Play Services and AW 1.4 for this watch. Wonder if Google wants these watches out of our hands...

I'm an AT&T customer. So, I'd wait and see what AT&T's notice would say. So far, I haven't heard anything from them.

I'm going to stop into one of the AT&T flagship stores tomorrow and ask them about it. Hopefully at one of the higher end stores they will at least have heard about this ridiculousness and possibly have some information. I'll post if I find out anything.

I spoke to a manager at one of my local AT&T super stores this morning. He said all the watches were shipped back to LG 2 days ago. AT&T will soon contact their subscribers and buyers for the recall for a full refund. Nothing was shared about the exact hardware issue. He doesn't even know when it may/will be re-released.

"Tablets for Me" on YouTube has his own theory on why it's being recalled. Pretty interesting. He said he has had two LG's LTE's with the same issue, and it'd happens only when the watch is in stand a lone condition.

Interesting. Wondering if anyone here who has it can confirm the issue with theirs? Figured an issue like this would have blown up on here.

I find it inconceivable that in testing before release that LG would release a watch that never once would connect to the LTE network, as experienced by Tablets for Me. Has to be something unique to his situation. Probably only HSPA available at his location, or something like that.

I have to admit that I rarely use the watch standalone. But I have used it under both HSPA and LTE a few times and it worked fine in either signal types. But I have not used it long enough to say one way or another. If it indeed is the case, I will return the watch and hope LG finds the solution soon.

OK, so I have had my watch since Monday and I must have never noticed this since it was always paired to my phone through BT or there was a wifi nearby. I did some tests on my watch.

When I turn my cell phone to airplane mode, no connections at all, the watch would connect to my wifi and would stay connected to the cloud. Full functionality. When I turn the wifi off on the watch it would switch to cellular, I would loose my connection to the cloud. My first thought was I wasn't getting data through the watch anymore. WFT. I opened the Wear Browser app on my watch however and was able to get to any website I wanted even while it was disconnected from the cloud. WIERD. So I left the watch on cellular to test another theory. I took my phone off airplane mode and turned off the BT so it wouldn't connect to the watch. The watch reconnected to the cloud as soon as service came back to my phone, Galaxy S6, and I could use the google now functions again. I even walked away from my phone even though BT was off I was paranoid, the watch remained connected to the cloud through cellular when my phone had a data connection.

So it would seem that if the phone is on with a data connection, you should have full functionality of the watch when you leave your phone at home. However if the phone dies, you will loose your connection to the cloud and the google services will no longer work, even though the watch is getting full data service.

Not sure if anyone else can also test this theory with there watch.

I have until the 30th to return mine to ATT, but if this is the only problem I will prolly be keeping mine since the solution would be to just keep the phone on and connected to data. Another killer would be if now they don't plan to allow the Urbane to be part of the ATT Number Sync when it is released for the watch. I dont want to have 2 different phone numbers going on.

The watch needs phone for almost everything. So, the connect to cloud thing really means connect to internet and reach your phone. The problem posted in the you tube video seems to suggest the watch will have trouble to connect to cell radio, no calls, no internet. Two different issues.
