Yes, it lays flat with no rockingSince the bump seems to span the width of the phone, I don't think it'll rock. It won't lie completely flat, for sure, but it should still be stable when lying on its back.
Honestly, nothing will ever be as bad as the Nexus 6.I wonder too about how well it will slide in and out of pockets. I like big phones and I cannot lie, but the Pro/XL model looks like it might push the boundaries for me a bit. Will have to see some real-world reviews for a few weeks.

I like your Sir MixAlot reference...Alot lol. I've also been hearing the White Chapel chip in the 6 series might be having a hard time meeting the speeds Google wanted out of it. That's a little bit concerning.
